Effect of terahertz irradiation on DNA damage repair in living cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We investigated the effect of terahertz (THz) wave irradiation on DNA double‐strand break (DSB) repair in living cells. We found that THz irradiation enhanced DSB repair at specific frequencies, whereas heat treatment inhibited it, indicating that this effect is nonthermal and frequency‐specific.

A new flow chip in combination with multiphoton microscopy as a protocol for longitudinal 3D imaging of tissue calcification under shear stress

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Miniaturized flow chip platform enabling continuous perfusion and longitudinal multiphoton 3D imaging of vascular smooth muscle cell constructs under physiological flow. Brightfield imaging guides region selection, while CellTracker Green and mRuby‐labeled fetuin‐A visualize cells and mineral deposition, respectively. Magnesium supplementation markedly

Frequency-domain equalization for continuous phase modulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Continuous phase modulation~(CPM) is a non-linear, constant-envelope modulation scheme with memory, known for its bandwidth and power efficiency. Multi-h CPM uses multiple modulation indices in successive symbol intervals to improve the error performance

Multiple symbol soft-output non-coherent detection of serial concatenated CPM

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
A non-coherent detection algorithm for CPM was proposed.Several sequential symbols were used as the observation window to calculate the prior probability for codeword in CPM soft demodulation process, and the more observation symbols were used, the better ...

SOVA-Decoded Serially Concatenated Continuous Phase Modulation System With Markov and Hidden Markov Sources

open access: yesIEEE Access
We design low-complexity bi-directional (forward and backward) modified Soft-Output Viterbi Algorithm (SOVA) decoders to exploit source memory from binary Markov and hidden Markov model (HMM) sources, respectively, for decoding in serially concatenated ...

Mutant NPM1 in Acute Myeloid Leukemia Initiation and Maintenance

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
NPM1 mutations drive acute myeloid leukemia by acting as neomorphic transcriptional regulators that cooperate with Menin–MLL and XPO1 to sustain HOX/MEIS1 expression and block differentiation. Targeting these mutant‐specific transcriptional dependencies provides a rational therapeutic strategy for NPM1‐mutated AML.

Doubly-Iterative Equalization of Continuous Phase Modulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper, a doubly-iterative receiver is proposed for joint turbo equalization, demodulation and decoding of coded binary continuous-phase modulation (CPM) for multipath fading channels. The proposed receiver consists of three soft-input soft-output

Iterative decoding of coded continuous phase modulation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
grantor: University of TorontoIn this thesis, the concept of iterative decoding is applied to demodulating and decoding coded continuous phase modulation (CPM). The background theory of iterative decoding and CPM is reviewed.

SYNCHRONOUS PWM CONTROL OF SYMMETRICAL DUAL THREE-PHASE DRIVE IN THE OVERMODULATION ZONE [PDF]

open access: yesProblems of the Regional Energetics, 2013
The analysis of operation of symmetrical six-phase (dual three-phase) ac drive system (which is a promising solution for the medium-power and high-power applications) with synchronized pulse-width modulation (PWM) during overmodulation has been performed.

Diffusion Spectrum Imaging Maps Early Axonal Loss and a Unique Progressive Signal in Neuronal Intranuclear Inclusion Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To delineate specific in vivo white matter pathology in neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) using diffusion spectrum imaging (DSI) and define its clinical relevance. Methods DSI was performed on 42 NIID patients and 38 matched controls.
