Irish Journal of Medical Science, 1983Six patients with insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus were treated by continuous subcutaneous insulin infusion for a period of 24–64 weeks. Diabetic control improved, indicated by a fall in the mean preprandial blood glucose and haemoglobin A1 levels.
