Causal Structure Learning in Continuous Systems [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2020
Real causal systems are complicated. Despite this, causal learning research has traditionally emphasized how causal relations can be induced on the basis of idealized events, i.e., those that have been mapped to binary variables and abstracted from time.

Biohydrogen production from enzymatic hydrolysis of food waste in batch and continuous systems. [PDF]

open access: yesSci Rep, 2016
In this study, the feasibility of biohydrogen production from enzymatic hydrolysis of food waste was investigated. Food waste (solid-to-liquid ratio of 10%, w/v) was first hydrolyzed by commercial glucoamylase to release glucose (24.35 g/L) in the food ...

Algorithmic Verification of Continuous and Hybrid Systems [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Proceedings in Theoretical Computer Science, 2014
We provide a tutorial introduction to reachability computation, a class of computational techniques that exports verification technology toward continuous and hybrid systems.

Entanglement and squeezing in continuous-variable systems [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum, 2017
We introduce a multi-mode squeezing coefficient to characterize entanglement in $N$-partite continuous-variable systems. The coefficient relates to the squeezing of collective observables in the $2N$-dimensional phase space and can be readily extracted ...

Identification of continuous, spatiotemporal systems

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 1998
We present a method for the identification of continuous, spatiotemporal dynamics from experimental data. We use a model in the form of a partial differential equation and formulate an optimization problem for its estimation from data. The solution is found as a multivariate nonlinear regression problem using the ACE-algorithm.

On the control of the final speed for a class of finite-dimensional linear systems: controllability and regulation [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Control Sciences, 2023
In this article, we extended the concept of controllability, traditionally used to control the final state of a system, to the exact control of its final speed.

The Impact of Salt Accumulation on the Growth of Duckweed in a Continuous System for Pig Manure Treatment

open access: yesPlants, 2022
Duckweed (Lemna) is a possible solution for the treatment of aqueous waste streams and the simultaneous provision of protein-rich biomass. Nitrification-Denitrification effluent (NDNE) from pig manure treatment has been previously used as a growing ...

Research on the strategies for collision avoidance of multi‐UAV with three dimensional formation in combination of consensus algorithm and uniform flow

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications, 2023
The paper proposes the method of uniform flow loading the improved consensus algorithm to achieve obstacle avoidance for multi‐UAV with 3‐D formation. In view of that the flow function is generally only applicable to two dimensional flow field, dimension

Brain metastases as the first clinical manifestation of prostate cancer: a case report

open access: yesConsilium Medicum, 2023
Background. Intracranial metastases, as the first clinical symptom of prostate cancer (PC), are extremely rare, with only anecdotal case reports in the literature. Aim.

Al'brekht's Method in Infinite Dimensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In 1961 E. G. Albrekht presented a method for the optimal stabilization of smooth, nonlinear, finite dimensional, continuous time control systems.
