Systematic Continuum Errors in the Lyman-Alpha Forest and The Measured Temperature-Density Relation
Continuum fitting uncertainties are a major source of error in estimates of the temperature-density relation (usually parametrized as a power-law, $T \propto \Delta^{\gamma - 1} $) of the inter-galactic medium (IGM) through the flux probability ...

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

Decays in Quantum Hierarchical Models
We study the dynamics of a simple model for quantum decay, where a single state is coupled to a set of discrete states, the pseudo continuum, each coupled to a real continuum of states.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

GRAPHO-ANALYTICAL MODELING OF PROCESSES OF INTERACTION OF ELEMENTARY COMPONENTS OF A MANAGEMENT PAIR
In order to analyze and justify the choice of the recommended modes of interaction of people in organizational entities, the article covers the main possibilities of increasing the effectiveness of human interaction on the basis of interpreting a typical

A unified hyperbolic formulation for viscous fluids and elastoplastic solids
We discuss a unified flow theory which in a single system of hyperbolic partial differential equations (PDEs) can describe the two main branches of continuum mechanics, fluid dynamics, and solid dynamics.

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

SOCIALITY PROBLEM IN THE CONTEXT OF CLASSICAL AND NONCLASSICAL INTERPRETATIONS
The paper shows that widespread approaches to studying society by means of allocating only one representative level within it are limited. As a possible the solution to this problem, the author suggests using the integrative approach which realizes the ...

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The Continuum of Aging and Age-Related Diseases: Common Mechanisms but Different Rates
Geroscience, the new interdisciplinary field that aims to understand the relationship between aging and chronic age-related diseases (ARDs) and geriatric syndromes (GSs), is based on epidemiological evidence and experimental data that aging is the major ...
