The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A Dynamic Atomistic-Continuum Method for the Simulation of Crystalline Materials

open access: yes, 2001
We present a coupled atomistic-continuum method for the modeling of defects and interface dynamics of crystalline materials. The method uses atomistic models such as molecular dynamics near defects and interfaces, and continuum models away from defects ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Investigation of the specific features of fracture of andesite and sandstone subjected to quasi-static and dynamic loading

open access: yesЗаписки Горного института
An experimental study has been conducted on natural materials such as sandstone and andesite, which are commonly used in the mining, oil and gas industries, as well as in road construction.

Wandering continua for rational maps

open access: yes, 2015
We prove that a Latt' es map admits an eventually simply-connected wandering continuum precisely when it is flexible.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

L’infini, les textes, les gens

open access: yesMethodos
The article describes Jean Celeyrette in several institutional or epistemic contexts: linked to a certain moment in mathematics, or linked to a medieval subject of study that lies between mathematical physics and post-Aristotelian theology.
