Modelling the Work Roll Wear Contour in a Four‐high Mill

A method for modelling the wear contour work rolls in a four‐high mill has been developed. The modelling is build up with statistical methods. The bases for the statistics are simulations of different rolling cases and measurements from the production of heavy plates in Oxelösund. These calibrations gave a well‐working model.
