The nonsubsampled contourlet transform for image fusion
2007 International Conference on Wavelet Analysis and Pattern Recognition, 2007The nonsubsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) is one of the new geometrical image transform. This transform uses the nonsubsampled pyramids (NSP) and the nonsubsampled directional filter banks (NSDFB) to obtain a multiscale and multidirection decomposition of image. The NSCT is a shift-invariant transform contrast to the contourlet transform.

Contourlet transform based EAR recognition

As first, we decompose the image using the contourlet transform. Then the features of the lowpass subband and the bandpass directional subbands are extracted respectively.
