Chronological and Spatial Distribution of Skeletal Muscle Fat Replacement in FHL1‐Related Myopathies

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Variants in the FHL1 gene cause FHL1‐related myopathies (FHL1‐RMs), a group of neuromuscular disorders with diverse clinical presentations. This study aimed to comprehensively characterize the spatial and temporal patterns of skeletal muscle fat replacement throughout the whole body in FHL1‐RMs, to examine disease progression over ...

Fixed Point Results for Various α-Admissible Contractive Mappings on Metric-Like Spaces

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
We establish some fixed point theorems for α-admissible mappings in the context of metric-like space via various auxiliary functions. In particular, we prove the existence of a fixed point of the generalized Meir-Keeler type α-ϕ-contractive self-mapping ...

Remarks on Pseudo-Contractive Mappings [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1970
Let X X be a Banach space, D ⊂ X D \subset X . A mapping U : D → X U:D \to X is said to be pseudo-contractive if for all u , v ∈ D u,v \in D and all r > 0

CONTRACTIBLE HAMILTONIAN CYCLES IN POLYHEDRAL MAPS [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, Algorithms and Applications, 2012
We present a necessary and sufficient condition for existence of a contractible Hamiltonian cycle in the edge graph of equivelar maps on surfaces. We also present an algorithm to find such cycles (if they exist). This is further generalized and shown to hold for more general maps.

Post‐COVID Fatigue Is Associated With Reduced Cortical Thickness After Hospitalization

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neuropsychiatric symptoms are among the most prevalent sequelae of COVID‐19, particularly among hospitalized patients. Recent research has identified volumetric brain changes associated with COVID‐19. However, it currently remains poorly understood how brain changes relate to post‐COVID fatigue and cognitive deficits.

Developmental, Neuroanatomical and Cellular Expression of Genes Causing Dystonia

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Dystonia is one of the most common movement disorders, with variants in multiple genes identified as causative. However, an understanding of which developmental stages, brain regions, and cell types are most relevant is crucial for developing relevant disease models and therapeutics.

On the weakly(α, ψ, ξ)-contractive condition for multi-valued operators in metric spaces and related fixed point results

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2016
The aim of this paper is to introduce the concept of a new nonlinear multi-valued mapping so called weakly (α, ψ, ξ)-contractive mapping and prove fixed point results for such mappings in metric spaces.

Spectral radii of asymptotic mappings and the convergence speed of the standard fixed point algorithm

open access: yes, 2018
Important problems in wireless networks can often be solved by computing fixed points of standard or contractive interference mappings, and the conventional fixed point algorithm is widely used for this purpose.

Positive contractive projections on noncommutative $\mathrm{L}^p$-spaces

open access: yes, 2020
In this paper, we prove the first theorems on contractive projections on general noncommutative $\mathrm{L}^p$-spaces associated with non-type I von Neumann algebras where $1 < p < \infty$.

Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathy due to Biallelic Pathogenic Variants in PIGM

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective PIGM encodes a critical enzyme in the glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)‐anchor biosynthesis pathway. While promoter‐region mutations in PIGM have been associated with a relatively mild phenotype characterized by portal vein thrombosis and absence seizures, recent evidence suggests that coding‐region mutations result in a more severe
