Integral Sliding Mode Control Design for Electronic Throttle Valve System

open access: yesAl-Khawarizmi Engineering Journal, 2015
One of the major components in an automobile engine is the throttle valve part. It is used to keep up with emissions and fuel efficiency low. Design a control system to the throttle valve is newly common requirement trend in automotive technology.

An Advanced Helicopter Engine Control System [PDF]

open access: yesAircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1982
The Amalgamation of Functions The requirements of the first engine controllers were primarily to satisfy the needs of the engine and, almost as an afterthought, to consider interface with the aircraft and the pilot. The latter resulted in the overwhelming plethora of “essential” ground test‐sets and cockpit instruments that we see today.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Terminal synergetic control based cheetah optimizer for knee-exoskeleton systems [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Journal of Electrical Engineering
The knee-exoskeleton is mechanical devices which are designed to help people rehabilitate impaired limb mobility and replace the use of physiotherapists. The scope of this study is rehabilitation assistance for the lower limb (i.e. knee of the leg).

Substrate specificity of Burkholderia pseudomallei multidrug transporters is influenced by the hydrophilic patch in the substrate‐binding pocket

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Multidrug transporters BpeB and BpeF from the Gram‐negative pathogen Burkholderia pseudomallei have a hydrophilic patch in their substrate‐binding pocket. Drug susceptibility tests and growth curve analyses using an Escherichia coli recombinant expression system revealed that the hydrophilic patches of BpeB and BpeF are involved in the substrate ...

Design of Integral Sliding Mode Controller for Servo DC Motor

open access: yesمجلة النهرين للعلوم الهندسية, 2017
DC servo motor is simple in construction and control and has many applications. However, the uncertainties due to its parameters changes such as load torque and friction are an evitable.

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Mechanisms of parasite‐mediated disruption of brain vessels

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Parasites can affect the blood vessels of the brain, often causing serious neurological problems. This review explains how different parasites interact with and disrupt these vessels, what this means for brain health, and why these processes matter. Understanding these mechanisms may help us develop better ways to prevent or treat brain infections in ...

An Innovative Damped Cuckoo Search Algorithm With a Comparative Study Against Other Adaptive Variants

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
This paper aims to find the best variant of Cuckoo Search Algorithm that makes the step size of Lévy flight adaptive. For this reason, we introduce a new variant of CSA called Damped Cuckoo Search (DCS) in which the step size of Lévy ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
