Establishing Control Limits on Time Performance Indicators of Projects through Monte Carlo Simulation and Earned Duration Management [PDF]

open access: yesفرایند مدیریت و توسعه, 2019
Earned Duration Management (EDM) method has been developed to enhance Earned Value Management and to solve some of its problems, such as separation of measuring time and cost dimensions.

The control of space manipulators subject to spacecraft attitude control saturation limits [PDF]

open access: yes
The motions of robotic manipulators mounted on spacecraft can disturb the spacecraft's positions and attitude. These disturbances can surpass the ability of the system's attitude control reaction jets to control them, for the disturbances increase as ...

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

APPLICATION OF U-CHART AND C-CHART IN TECHNOLOGICAL PROCESS OF PRIMARY WOOD PROCESSING [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Process Management and New Technologies, 2014
Control charts are statistical methods of quality control. Basically it is a graph where the abscissa represents the order of control, and the ordinate is marked with parameter values, which are controled by samples over a certain size. Using charts

Optimal Control Prediction Method for Control Allocation [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper proposes a novel prediction method for online optimal control allocation that extends the volume of moments achievable with the Moore-Penrose generalized inverse to the entire Attainable Moment Set.

An upstream open reading frame regulates expression of the mitochondrial protein Slm35 and mitophagy flux

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

A modified quality control protocol for infectious disease serology based on the Westgard rules

open access: yesScientific Reports
When traditional statistical quality control protocols, represented by the Westgard protocol were applied to infectious disease serology, the rejection limits were questioned because of the high rejection probability.
