Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Finite‐time control of DC–AC boost converter: The limit cycle approach

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications
This paper proposes a novel finite‐time limit cycle controller for DC to AC conversion in power boost converters. The stable limit cycle is categorized as a positive limit set.

Observer-based robust adaptive control for uncertain stochastic Hamiltonian systems with state and input delays

open access: yes, 2014
This paper investigates the observer-based robust adaptive control problem for a class of stochastic Hamiltonian systems. The systems under consideration relate to parameter uncertainties, unknown state time-delay and input delay.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Estimation of shape memory alloy actuator dynamics to design reduced‐order position controller with input saturation

open access: yesIET Control Theory & Applications
This study focuses on the precise model estimation for a position control problem actuated by a shape memory alloy (SMA) wire. Because the hysteresis characteristic of SMA introduces complexities in system modelling and adds degrees of freedom, a model ...

Output feedback control of nonlinear systems with uncertain ISS/iISS supply rates and noises

open access: yes, 2014
This paper considers the problem of global output feedback control for a class of nonlinear systems with inverse dynamics. The main contribution of paper is that: For the inverse dynamics with uncertain ISS/iISS supply rates, and the systems ...
