Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Experimental study of the TEMPO mediated copolymerization of styrene with divinylbenzene [PDF]
Since the discovery of controlled radical polymerization (CRP) in the early nineties (Georges et al., 1993), an ever increasing activity has been focused on the production of polymers with narrow molecular weight distributions and well-de ned ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Holographic characterization of chain photopolymerization [PDF]
A holographic characterization technique is developed in accordance with a general photopolymerization model. The technique allows detailed quantification of the chemical parameters, including their variation from the Trommsdorff effect.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Thermooxidative aging of polydicyclopentadiene in glassy state [PDF]
Thermal aging of thin films of unstabilized polydicyclopentadiene (pDCPD) at several temperatures ranging from 120 to 30 C was investigated by means of carbonyl build up by FTIR with ammonia derivatization, double bond titration, mass uptake measurement ...
