MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Introduction of Security in the Controller Placement Problem

open access: yes2025 IEEE 26th International Conference on High Performance Switching and Routing (HPSR)
Software-Defined Networking (SDN) is a networking paradigm that decouples the forwarding plane from the control plane. The orchestration of the control plane is a critical challenge in SDN deployment, addressed by the Controller Placement Problem (CPP).

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

The Resources Placement Problem in a 5G Hierarchical SDN Control Plane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, we address the SDN Controllers and Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) placement problem in 5G networks. To this aim, we propose an architecture for the 5G Control Plane and a method to determine the optimal placement of controllers and VNFs.

Emerging insights into CC and CXC chemokines and their receptors in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The dual roles of CC and CXC chemokines in distinguishing active, latent, and subclinical tuberculosis were reviewed, along with an evaluation of their potential as diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets to advance precision medicine in tuberculosis management. The graphical abstract was generated with AI assistance (Gemini 3.0).

Distributed Controller Placement in Software-Defined Networks with Consistency and Interoperability Problems

open access: yesJournal of Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2023
Software-defined networking (SDN) brings an innovative approach to networking by adopting a flow-centric model and removing networking decisions from the data plane to provide them centrally from the control plane. A single centralized controller is used
