Two-dimensional convection—diffusion problem solved using method of localized particular solutions

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
A meshless local method of approximated particular solutions (LMAPS) is used to analyze problem described by the convection-diffusion equation. The method solves the steady convection-diffusion equation with reaction term.

Time‐Resolved Simultaneous Mapping of Thickness and Nanoparticle Concentration in Nanofluid Thin Films via Imaging Ellipsometry and Deep‐UV Reflectance Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study establishes a dual‐channel optical metrology framework integrating phase‐shifting imaging ellipsometry and deep‐UV reflectance imaging. This label‐free approach enables simultaneous, time‐resolved mapping of film thickness and nanoparticle (NP) concentration in dynamic nanofluid thin films.

Adaptive time step control for higher order variational time discretizations applied to convection-diffusion equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Higher order variational time stepping schemes allow an efficient post-processing for computing a higher order solution. This paper presents an adaptive algorithm whose time step control utilizes the post-processed solution.

Microfluidic Engineering of Chitosan‐Coated Nanoemulsions for Controlled Release and Stability in Space Pharmaceutics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Microfluidic engineering enables the fabrication of chitosan‐coated, melatonin‐loaded nanoemulsions with controlled release and enhanced physicochemical stability for space pharmaceutics. Interfacial biopolymer coating modulates droplet behavior under accelerated thermal stress and simulated microgravity.

Solution of convection–diffusion equation by the method of characteristics

open access: yesJournal of Computational and Applied Mathematics, 2004
The author considers the nonlinear problem: \[ \partial_tu+ F(u) \nabla u-D\Delta u=0;\quad u(0,x)= u_0(x)\;x\in\Omega \] with homogeneous boundary conditions. This problem is solved by the method of characteristics. One of the innovations in the paper is that the velocity field must not be bounded, it is enough to be supposed continuous.

Tunable 3D‐Printed Static Mixers for Gradient Bioprinting With High Cell Viability

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The fabrication of native tissue‐like structures with gradual transitions in material properties, cell types, and growth factors remains a major challenge in biofabrication due to the lack of suitable methods. Mimicking the hierarchical organization of living tissues is essential for functional models, yet creating gradient, multimaterial ...
