A comparison of the convenience yield and interest-adjusted basis
The convenience yield is a major notion in commodity markets but this variable is unobservable. Consequently, two methods are generally used to test stylized facts regarding commodity convenience yields: the first method relies on a convenience yield ...

The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Sheep meat commercialization in the retail market in Brazilian cities
This paper explored the mix market characteristics of sheep meat as a product for sale in different cities in the states of São Paulo and Paraná. For this, 81 products were purchased in 21 outlets sampled in a “non-probabilistic” manner for convenience ...

Convenience Yield Value of International Emission Allowance Based on Call Options
Convenience yield is call options; spot holders attain excess investment revenues through holding spot assets instituted futures assets. Based on the hypothesis of convenience yields, our empirical results show that monthly convenience yield of emission ...

A unified research data management framework for heterogeneous materials data is presented. The system integrates multimodal datasets using ontologies and knowledge graphs, enabling interoperability and FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) data principles. By linking data across scales and workflows, it supports reproducible, Artifitial

Updating the Estimation of the Supply of Storage Model [PDF]
An updated supply of storage equation is estimated to reflect recent developments in the theoretical and empirical literature. Among the findings is an inverse relationship between storage cost adjusted price spread and a proxy measure of convenience ...

One-phase phenol-free method for microRNA isolation from blood plasma
MicroRNA extraction is an essential procedure when discovering MicroRNA-based biomarkers and approaches. Here we describe a new method for microRNA isolation from human blood plasma, based on isopropanol precipitation from the one-phase lysate.

Is the convenience yield a good indicator of a commodity's supply risk?
A strong increase in the demand for some commodities over the last decade will have a major impact on their future supply situation. Of increasing importance, therefore, is an assessment of a commodity's criticality, and especially its supply risk, by ...

Towards Defect Phase Diagrams: From Research Data Management to Automated Workflows
A research data management infrastructure is presented for the systematic integration of heterogeneous experimental and simulation data required for defect phase diagrams. The approach combines openBIS with a companion application for large‐object storage, automated metadata extraction, provenance tracking and federated data access, thereby supporting ...
