Investigation of Laser Ablation and Brush Pre‐Treatments for AlCu Cold Roll Bonding in Oxygen‐Free Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Raman Spectroscopic Identification of Oxide Phases in a Corroded MgO–Steel Composite Anode Used in Aluminum Molten Salt Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Micro‐Raman spectroscopy is applied to characterize corrosion products in a recycled‐based MgO–316L steel composite anode after molten salt electrolysis. A depth‐dependent Fe–O/Fe–Al–O layer sequence of magnetite, hercynite, and an Al‐doped magnetite transition zone is identified.

Evaluation of cervical smears by Conventional and Liquid Based Cytology [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, 2017
BACKGROUND: Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer. Screening for cervical canser is done by Pap (Papanicolaou) test by Conventional Pap Smear (CPS) or by newer technique Liquid Based Cytology (LBC). The aim of the study was to learn and compare cervical lesions on both the techniques.METHODS: This was a prospective study conducted over a 2 ...
