Synergistic Interfacial Regulation by Nano‐TiO2 and Carboxylated Cellulose Nanofibers for Multiscale Surface Stabilization of Cementitious Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Nano‐TiO2 and carboxylated cellulose nanofibers jointly regulate hydration‐product distribution in cementitious composites. Improved microstructural continuity and refined pore structure accompany enhanced strength and surface stability without a substantial increase in overall hydration.

Coherent Absorption Reveals Colors Hidden in a Grey Fabry–Pérot Cavity

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A dielectric thin film shows colors depending on its thickness; this effect can be used to encode information normally accessible through single‐beam spectroscopy. We developed a method to conceal this kind of information, based on coating the dielectric with a matched conductor, that suppresses the color‐bearing thin‐film resonances.

Spectral Reconstruction Using Broadband Inkjet‐Printed Optical Filters

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A proof‐of‐concept for a reconstructive spectrometer based on inkjet‐printed interferometric optical filters is demonstrated. Through adaptive encoding and robust post‐processing algorithms, spectral reconstruction is achieved over a 400 nm visible bandwidth at a fraction of the cost and complexity of typical encoders while maintaining high optical ...

Nonlocomotory Robotic Strategies for Dynamic Rotation Control in Terrestrial Robots: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Terrestrial robots increasingly require rapid body rotation to maintain stability and agility in complex environments. This review shows nonlocomotory rotational control strategies that operate without ground contact, including reaction wheels, tails, bars, limbs, and thrusters.
