A new approach for solving nonlinear singular boundary value problems

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2018
In this paper, an e_cient method based on Quasi-Newton's method and the simpli_ed reproducing kernel method is proposed for solving nonlinear singular boundary value problems. For the Quasi-Newton's method the convergence order is studied.

Emerging experimental and computational methods for studying redox‐regulated structural transitions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Redox reactions can reshape proteins and alter how they behave in cells, with important consequences for health and disease. This review explores emerging experimental and computational approaches for discovering these redox‐sensitive protein switches, revealing their structural effects, and predicting their behavior, opening new opportunities to ...

Functional comparison of EncB and EncC cargo proteins in iron storage within the Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Encapsulins are protein nanocompartments that play an important role in iron storage. In the Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin system, two cargo proteins called EncB and EncC contribute to iron mineralization. Here, we show that EncB and EncC generate iron‐containing minerals with distinct chemical compositions, suggesting that the composition of stored ...

Nonlinear Stability and D-Convergence of Additive Runge-Kutta Methods for Multidelay-Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
This paper is devoted to the stability and convergence analysis of the Additive Runge-Kutta methods with the Lagrangian interpolation (ARKLMs) for the numerical solution of multidelay-integro-differential equations (MDIDEs).

Numerical convergence of electromagnetic responses with the finite-amplitude method

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences
The response of a nucleus to an electromagnetic probe is a key quantity to simulate photabsorption or photodeexcitation processes. For large calculations at the scale of the entire mass table, this response can be estimated by linear response theory.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Several conservative compact schemes for a class of nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave operator

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2018
In this paper, several different conserving compact finite difference schemes are developed for solving a class of nonlinear Schrödinger equations with wave operator.

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
