A simplified thermoplastic pultrusion model is developed to predict thermal fields in glass fiber/polyethylene terephthalate (GF/PET) composites with reduced computational cost. By combining effective material homogenization, validation against literature data, and Gaussian‐process‐based optimization, the study reveals how heating limits, pulling speed,

Phase Field Failure Modeling: Brittle‐Ductile Dual‐Phase Microstructures under Compressive Loading
The approach by Amor and the approach by Miehe and Zhang for asymmetric damage behavior in the phase field method for fracture are compared regarding their fitness for microcrack‐based failure modeling. The comparison is performed for the case of a dual‐phase microstructure with a brittle and a ductile constituent.

Ghana's Economic Growth in perspective: A time series approach to Convergence and Growth Determinants [PDF]
Economic growth around the world has not been equal for a long time. Some economics grow faster while others grow slower. But economists have predicted that the slower growing economics will eventually converge with the faster growing economy as some ...

A generalization of order convergence
Let $E$ be a sublattice of a vector lattice $F$. $\left( x_α\right)\subseteq E$ is said to be $ F $-order convergent to a vector $ x $ (in symbols $ x_α\xrightarrow{Fo} x $), whenever there exists another net $ \left(y_α\right) $ in $F $ with the some index set satisfying $ y_α\downarrow 0 $ in $F$ and $ | x_α- x | \leq y_α$ for all indexes $ α$. If $F=

Fostering Innovation: Streamlining Magnetocaloric Materials Research by Digitalization
Magnetocaloric cooling (MCE) is an environmentally friendly refrigeration method with great potential. Optimizing MCE materials involves the preparation and screening of large quantities of samples, which in turn generates a large amount of data. A digitalization approach is presented that uses ontologies, knowledge graphs, and digital workflows to ...

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

Weak convergence of the sequential empirical processes of residuals in ARMA models [PDF]
This paper studies the weak convergence of the sequential empirical process $\hat{K}_n$ of the estimated residuals in ARMA(p,q) models when the errors are independent and identically distributed.

Order convergence and compactness
Let $(P,\leq)$ be a partially ordered set and let $τ$ be a compact topology on $P$ that is finer than the interval topology. Then $τ$ is contained in the order (convergence) topology on $(P,τ)$. So any Priestley topology is contained in the order topology.

We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.
