Ambiguity of Residual Constraint-Based Precise Point Positioning with Partial Ambiguity Resolution under No Real-Time Network Corrections Using Real Global Positioning System (GPS) Data

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Although precise point positioning (PPP) is a well-established and promising technique with the use of precise satellite orbit and clock products, it costs a long convergence time to reach a centimeter-level positioning accuracy.

Convergence rate to equilibrium in Wasserstein distance for reflected jump-diffusions [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Convergence rate to the stationary distribution for continuous-time Markov processes can be studied using Lyapunov functions. Recent work by the author provided explicit rates of convergence in special case of a reflected jump-diffusion on a half-line.

Elucidating prognostic significance of purine metabolism in colorectal cancer through integrating data from transcriptomic, immunohistochemical, and single‐cell RNA sequencing analysis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low expression of five purine metabolism‐related genes (ADSL, APRT, ADCY3, NME3, NME6) was correlated with poor survival in colorectal cancer. Immunohistochemistry analysis showed that low NME3 (early stage) and low ADSL/NME6 (late stage) levels were associated with high risk.

The convergence mechanism of Low Earth Orbit enhanced GNSS (LeGNSS) Precise Point Positioning (PPP)

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science
The recruitment of the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation is recognized as an effective way to augment Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Precise Point Positioning (PPP) in the near future.

PDF-based tuning of stochastic optimal controller design for cyber-physical systems with uncertain delay dynamics

open access: yesIET Cyber-Physical Systems, 2017
Uncertain dynamics in communication network, including random delays and packet losses make it difficult to guarantee stability of cyber-physical systems (CPSs).

The Early Restart Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Consider an algorithm whose time to convergence is unknown (because of some random element in the algorithm, such as a random initial weight choice for neural network training). Consider the following strategy. Run the algorithm for a specific time T. If

Degree fluctuations and the convergence time of consensus algorithms [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Conference on Decision and Control and European Control Conference, 2011
We consider a consensus algorithm in which every node in a sequence of undirected, B-connected graphs assigns equal weight to each of its neighbors. Under the assumption that the degree of each node is fixed (except for times when the node has no connections to other nodes), we show that consensus is achieved within a given accuracy $ $ on n nodes in ...

A large‐scale retrospective study in metastatic breast cancer patients using circulating tumour DNA and machine learning to predict treatment outcome and progression‐free survival

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
There is an unmet need in metastatic breast cancer patients to monitor therapy response in real time. In this study, we show how a noninvasive and affordable strategy based on sequencing of plasma samples with longitudinal tracking of tumour fraction paired with a statistical model provides valuable information on treatment response in advance of the ...

Analysis of Known Linear Distributed Average Consensus Algorithms on Cycles and Paths

open access: yesSensors, 2018
In this paper, we compare six known linear distributed average consensus algorithms on a sensor network in terms of convergence time (and therefore, in terms of the number of transmissions required).
