KOREA SCIENCE & ART FORUM, 20182016년 세계 경제 다보스 포럼에서 4차 산업 혁명이 화두가 된 이후, 소프트웨어 산업과 교육이 화두가 되고 있는데 그 가운데 컴퓨터 과학 비전공생들의 소프트웨어 교육의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 2018년도부터 소프트웨어 교육이 의무화한 되면서 정부 차원에서 소프트웨어 교육을 적극 장려하고 있다. 컴퓨팅 사고 배양을 기초로 삼는 소프트웨어 교육은 모든 학생들을 컴퓨터 프로그래머로 키우자는 의미가 아니다. 컴퓨터 관련 전공이 아니어도 컴퓨팅 사고로 문제를 분석하고 해결하는 데 목표가 있다.
