Precise MS-bar light-quark masses from lattice QCD in the RI/SMOM scheme [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We compute the conversion factors needed to obtain the MS-bar and RGI up, down, and strange-quark masses at next-to-next-to-leading order from the corresponding parameters renormalized in the recently proposed RI/SMOM and RI/SMOM_gamma_mu renormalization

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Effective dose conversion coefficients as a function of patient weight for routine X-ray examination

open access: yesРадиационная гигиена
Based on the information regarding the parameters of routine radiographic procedures the values of the conversion coefficients to the effective dose in patients of different weights were calculated.

A Real-Time Digital Solver for Smart Substation Based on Orders

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
In order to expand the simulation scale of smart substation, a simulation model of the inlet-outlet line unit, as described by the 0/108 S conductance for multivalued coefficients pre-storage is presented in this paper. As a part of orders decomposition,

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Image recoloring for people with protanomaly and deuteranomaly of various severity

open access: yesСистемный анализ и прикладная информатика
As part of the conducted research, a method was developed to help people with the most common forms of anomalous trichromacy deuteranomaly and protanomaly and any severity of these anomalies in visual perception of information.

Management of Energy Conversion Processes in Membrane Systems

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
The internal energy (U-energy) conversion to free energy (F-energy) and energy dissipation (S-energy) is a basic process that enables the continuity of life on Earth.

Detection of circulating tumor DNA in colorectal cancer patients using a methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Jet-Medium Interactions at NLO in a Weakly-Coupled Quark-Gluon Plasma [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
We present an extension to next-to-leading order in the strong coupling constant $g$ of the AMY effective kinetic approach to the energy loss of high momentum particles in the quark-gluon plasma.
