A programming language is described which is applicable to problems conveniently described by transformation rules. By this is meant that patterns may be prescribed, each being associated with a skeleton, so that a series of such pairs may be searched until a pattern is found which matches an expression to be transformed. The conditions for a match are

After a brief description of Folding ADCs, also compared with Two-Steps ADCs, the principle function of an interpolative structures for these converters has been analyzed. It has been underlying as this structure improves the performances of the whole ADC. Some considerations allow to quantify the best design choices.

We will demonstrate BNFC (the BNF Converter) [7, 6], a multi-lingual compiler tool. BNFC takes as its input a grammar written in LBNF (Labelled BNF) notation, and generates a compiler front-end (an abstract syntax, a lexer, and a parser). Furthermore, it generates a case skeleton usable as the starting point of back-end construction, a pretty printer ...

Breaking Binaries and Converting the Converted
2023Property law has been developed around a tangible/intangible binary with “things” being either choses in possession or choses in action. This article argues that the advance of digital technologies challenges the validity of this binary, and that the law must break down the binary to develop in a logical manner.

Convertibility verification and converter synthesis
Proceedings of the 2002 IEEE/ACM international conference on Computer-aided design - ICCAD '02, 2002An essential problem in component-based design is how to compose components designed in isolation. Several approaches have been proposed for specifying component interfaces that capture behavioral aspects such as interaction protocols, and for verifying interface compatibility.

Multisampling in interleaved converters and modular multilevel converters
IECON 2016 - 42nd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2016This paper presents a method for sampling the analog variables and running the controller in multi-cell converters with a frequency higher than the switching frequency. First we introduce the multi-cell converters and highlight their similarities. Next we describe the devised method and explain the strategy to avoid simultaneous sampling and switching ...

The Kelly converter, now on display at the National Museum of American History, is associated with one of the enduring legends of invention. A roadside marker in Kentucky presents it succinctly: "Here William Kelly, 1811-1888, discovered a steel making method later known as the Bessemer process which made it possible for civilization to pass from the ...
