Abstract Species distribution models (SDMs) are one of the most common statistical methods to assess species occupancy and geographic distribution patterns. With the increasing complexity and availability of ecological data in the marine context, many methodological approaches have been developed to support SDM analysis.

A global estimator of C and N isotope baselines for fresh waters
Abstract Baselines are the pebbles in the shoes of isotope ecologists. The extreme variability of the isotope composition of resources at the base of food webs governs the spatial differences of consumers' isotope composition, so that isotope‐inferred trophic properties can be compared across ecosystems only after correction for baseline effects ...

This study demonstrates the ecological value of natural regeneration in the Brazilian Cerrado by analysing the biomass, richness and trophic structure of leaf litter insects across pasture (P), regenerating (R) and native (N) areas. We found that R areas supported insect communities more similar to N habitats than to Ps, with higher richness, greater ...

ABSTRACT In 2019, the Dadan Archaeological Project (CNRS/RCU/AFALULA) identified a Late Antique village 1 km south of ancient Dadan in the al‐ʿUlā valley (northwest Saudi Arabia). Three excavation seasons at this site (2021–2023) have uncovered a massive building constructed in the late third or early fourth cent.
