On some mean values associated with a randomly selected simplex in a convex set.

open access: yes, 1973
For any convex body K in euclidean %-space denote by m(K) the mean value of the volume of a simplex with vertices at n + 1 randomly selected points from K.

The Emerging 4D Printing of Shape‐Memory Thermomorphs for Self‐Adaptative Biomedical Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
4D printing enables the creation of smart implants that adapt to changing conditions in the human body over time. At the core of this technology are shape‐memory thermomorphs (SMTMs). This review offers an in‐depth analysis of 4D printing with SMTMs, emphasizing the latest advancements in smart materials, stimuli, programming principles, and their ...

Convex and strongly convex fuzzy sets

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1987
AbstractProperties of the support and of the core of convex and strongly convex fuzzy sets are considered. The convex and strongly convex fuzzy sets in the real line are characterized by means of the piece-wise monotonic functions.

Tunable Tactile Synapses Enabled by Erasable Doping in Iongel‐Gated Nanotube Network Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Artificial tactile synaptic sensors are realized by an iongel‐gated single‐walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) transistor with reversible doping characteristics. The device senses and memorizes tactile stimuli and exhibits gate bias‐dependent excitatory or inhibitory synaptic behavior.

The convex domination subdivision number of a graph

open access: yesCommunications in Combinatorics and Optimization, 2016
Let $G=(V,E)$ be a simple graph‎. ‎A set $D\subseteq V$ is a‎ ‎dominating set of $G$ if every vertex in $V\setminus D$ has at‎ ‎least one neighbor in $D$‎. ‎The distance $d_G(u,v)$ between two‎ ‎vertices $u$ and $v$ is the length of a shortest $(u,v)$-

Constructible Convex Sets

open access: yesSet-Valued Analysis, 2004
We investigate when closed convex sets can be written as countable intersections of closed half-spaces in Banach spaces. It is reasonable to consider this class to comprise the constructible convex sets since such sets are precisely those that can be defined by a countable number of linear inequalities, hence are accessible to techniques of semi ...

Tunable Thermoshrinkable Hydrogels for 4D Fabrication of Cell‐Seeded Channels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A thermoresponsive polymer with methacrylate groups for photo‐cross‐linking, based on polyethylene glycol, N‐isopropylacrylamide, and 2‐hydroxyethyl acrylate is synthetized to yield hydrogels that shrink upon temperature increase. The new polymer enables the fabrication of cell‐laden perfusable channels with diameters below 200 µm by combining ...

Side‐Chains Engineered Self‐Assembly of Ortho‐Benzodipyrrole‐Based Acceptors: Comprehensive Exploration of Structure‐Interface‐Photovoltaics Correlations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The side‐chain configuration in the bay region of C‐shaped ortho‐benzodipyrrole‐based non‐fullerene acceptors plays a crucial role in their self‐assembly, single‐crystal structures, and optoelectronic properties. The closely correlated molecular structure and performance underscore the importance of minimizing A–A self‐aggregation and enhancing D–A ...

Accelerated Kinetics of Desolvation and Redox Transformation Enabled by MOF Sieving for High‐Loading Mg‐S Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A strategy of sieving catalysis based on the MIL‐101(Cr) with multistage pore structure and Lewis acid sites has been proposed as the catalyst to accelerate the kinetics of desolvation and redox conversion of sulfur species, achieving high performance Mg‐S batteries.
