Cooperative games with overlapping coalitions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In the usual models of cooperative game theory, the outcome of a coalition formation process is either the grand coalition or a coalition structure that consists of disjoint coalitions. However, in many domains where coalitions are associated with tasks,

A State‐Adaptive Koopman Control Framework for Real‐Time Deformable Tool Manipulation in Robotic Environmental Swabbing

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a state‐adaptive Koopman linear quadratic regulator framework for real‐time manipulation of a deformable swab tool in robotic environmental sampling. By combining Koopman linearization, tactile sensing, and centroid‐based force regulation, the system maintains stable contact forces and high coverage across flat and inclined surfaces.

On (L,M)-fuzzy convex structures

open access: yesFilomat, 2019
This paper defines a new class of L-fuzzy sets called r-L-fuzzy biconvex sets in (L,M)-fuzzy convex structures (X,C), where C is an (L,M)-fuzzy convexity on X, and some of their properties were studied. In addition, weintroduce (L,M)-fuzzy topological convexity space and study some of its properties.

Convexity and the Shapley value in Bertrand oligopoly TU-games with Shubik's demand functions [PDF]

open access: yes
The Bertrand Oligopoly situation with Shubik's demand functions is modelled as a cooperative TU game. For that purpose two optimization problems are solved to arrive at the description of the worth of any coalition in the so-called Bertrand Oligopoly ...

Uniform convexity of complete Busemann spaces [PDF]

open access: yes
Normed linear spaces play an important role in pure and applied mathematics. In particular, Banach spaces are useful tools for problem-solving in computational science.

Origami‐Inspired Structural Design for Aquatic‐Terrestrial Amphibious Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This work presents a lightweight amphibious origami robot actuated by a single shape memory alloy wire. A rigid foldable origami structure with displacement amplification enables efficient terrestrial crawling and aquatic swimming. The addition of fan‐shaped units allows controllable turning in both environments.

Monge extensions of cooperation and communication structures [PDF]

open access: yes
Cooperation structures without any {\it a priori} assumptions on the combinatorial structure of feasible coalitions are studied and a general theory for mar\-ginal values, cores and convexity is established.

Efficient and Robust Standing Postures of Quadruped Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A calibrated static framework estimates load, optimizes torques, and adapts posture so quadruped robots stand efficiently and robustly under external payloads, achieving up to 50% lower torque demand. Inspired by the natural posture adjustments of animals under external loading, this article presents an optimization‐based framework for minimizing joint

CONVEXITY THEORY FOR THE TERM STRUCTURE EQUATION

open access: yes, 2008
. We study convexity and monotonicity properties for prices of bonds and bond options when the short rate is modeled by a diffusion process. We provide conditions under which convexity of the price in the short rate is guaranteed.

Convexity and d-revised link-convexity of restricted games on some intersecting family [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Technical ReportWe consider some restricted games which are generalization of the games with graph-communication structure. We propose a result of in-essential coalitions structure of some intersecting convex games.
