Azaporphyrinoid‐Based Photo‐ and Electroactive Architectures for Advanced Functional Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A long‐standing collaboration between the Torres and Guldi groups has yielded diverse azaporphyrinoid‐based donor‐acceptor nanohybrids with promising applications in solar energy conversion. This conspectus highlights key molecular platforms and structure‐function relationships that govern light and charge management, supporting the rational design of ...

A New Fixed Point Theorem and Applications

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
A new fixed point theorem is established under the setting of a generalized finitely continuous topological space (GFC-space) without the convexity structure. As applications, a weak KKM theorem and a minimax inequalities of Ky Fan type are also obtained

Continuous Selections For Almost Lower Semicontinuous Multifunctions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
[[abstract]]In this paper, we obtain several new continuous selection theorems for almost lower semicontinuous multifunctions T on a paracompact topological space X, in the general noncompact and/or nonconvex settings.

Topology and Material Optimization in Ultra‐Soft Magneto‐Active Structures: Making Advantage of Residual Anisotropies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Univalent Functions by Means of Chebyshev Polynomials

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2022
The primary motivation of the paper is to define a new class Chδα,β,γ which consists of univalent functions associated with Chebyshev polynomials. For this class, we determine the coefficient bound and convolution preserving property.

A Log-Det Heuristics for Covariance Matrix Estimation: The Analytic Setup

open access: yesStats, 2022
This paper studies a new nonconvex optimization problem aimed at recovering high-dimensional covariance matrices with a low rank plus sparse structure. The objective is composed of a smooth nonconvex loss and a nonsmooth composite penalty.

Localized Temperature Monitoring in Mouse Brain during Light Delivery via a Non‐Planar Tapered Fiber‐Integrated µRTD Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

L-CONVEXITY ON GRAPH STRUCTURES

open access: yesJournal of the Operations Research Society of Japan, 2018
In this paper, we study classes of discrete convex functions: submodular functions on modular semilattices and L-convex functions on oriented modular graphs. They were introduced by the author in complexity classification of minimum 0-extension problems.

Inverse Design of Amorphous Materials With Targeted Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
AMDEN is a diffusion model framework for the inverse design of amorphous materials with targeted properties. By incorporating Hamiltonian Monte Carlo refinement into the denoising process, the framework overcomes the challenge of generating thermally relaxed disordered structures.
