Studies on positive conveying in helically channeled single screw extruders

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2012
A solids conveying theory called double-flight driving theory was proposed for helically channeled single screw extruders. In the extruder, screw channel rotates against static barrel channel, which behaves as cooperative embedded twin-screws for the ...

Nonlinear Resonant Responses, Mode Interactions, and Multitime Periodic and Chaotic Oscillations of a Cantilevered Pipe Conveying Pulsating Fluid under External Harmonic Force

open access: yesComplexity, 2020
The nonlinear resonant responses, mode interactions, and multitime periodic and chaotic oscillations of the cantilevered pipe conveying pulsating fluid are studied under the harmonic external force in this research.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

CFD Simulation of Gas-Solid Two-Phase Flow in Pneumatic Conveying of Wheat [PDF]

open access: yesIranian Journal of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, 2015
Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations of gas-solid flow through a positive low-pressure pneumatic conveyor were performed using Eulerian-Eulerian framework.

Design and Characterization of a Two‐Dimensional Soft Array Based on Cooperative Dielectric Elastomer Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fully polymeric two‐dimensional array of Dielectric Elastomers enables self‐sensing, cooperative actuation, and large‐stroke operation in a DE‐based autonomous conveyor. Based only on voltage and current measurements at actuator level, the system detects the presence of a ball and subsequently drives it toward a target position.

Research on Pressure Drop in the Accelerate Zone of Horizontal Conveying of Concrete Spraying

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2019
A pressure transmitter was installed at a specific position in a concrete conveying line to disclose the pressure drop when compressed air was conveyed during concrete spraying. A statistical analysis of the pressure at different positions was undertaken.

Cellular Responses to Mechanical Cues Across Scales: From Fundamental Insights to Translational Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines how cellular behavior is regulated by mechanical cues transmitted through soft biomaterials, from single‐cell mechanosensing to tissue‐level adaptation. It highlights why physiological relevance, rather than model complexity alone, is critical for translational mechanobiology and introduces a scoring framework linking material ...

Optimization of structural parameters for the pneumatic conveying device of dried safflower filaments based on CFD-DEM coupling

open access: yesResults in Engineering
To address the issues of low conveying efficiency and high energy consumption in the pneumatic conveying of dried safflower filaments, this study established a discrete element model (DEM) of dried safflower filaments and coupled it with Computational ...

Eutectozymes as Soft Hybrid Materials for Advanced Biocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Eutectozymes are sustainable hybrid materials that embed a GOx–HRP cascade within hydrophobic eutectogels featuring a dual supramolecular–covalent network. This architecture preserves native enzyme structure and stability, enables efficient heterogeneous biocatalysis in aqueous media, and positions eutectogels as robust platforms for next‐generation ...

Soft Skins With Reversible Thickness Morphing: Materials, Mechanisms, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Evolution of electronic skin (e‐skin) technologies toward adaptive, multifunctional soft skins. Phase I highlights early rigid and discrete sensory interfaces. Phase II shows the transition toward flexible, stretchable, and large‐area e‐skin. Phase III captures the emergence of computational e‐skin.
