Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

Strict Deformation Quantization via Geometric Quantization in the Bieliavsky Plane

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2020
Using standard techniques from geometric quantization, we rederive the integral product of functions on ℝ2 (non-Euclidian) which was introduced by Pierre Bieliavsky as a contribution to the area of strict quantization.

Multilabel image analysis on Polyethylene Terephthalate bottle images using PETNet Convolution Architecture

open access: yesJurnal Ilmiah SINERGI, 2023
Packaging is one of the important aspects of the product. Good packaging can increase the competitiveness of a product. Therefore, to maintain the quality of the packaging of a product, it is necessary to have a visual inspection.

Spaces of DLp type and a convolution product associated with the spherical mean operator

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2005
We define and study the spaces ℳp(ℝ×ℝn), 1≤p≤∞, that are of DLp type. Using the harmonic analysis associated with the spherical mean operator, we give a new characterization of the dual space ℳ′p(ℝ×ℝn) and describe its bounded subsets.

Deep Learning–Assisted Differentiation of Four Peripheral Neuropathies Using Corneal Confocal Microscopy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Peripheral neuropathies contribute to patient disability but may be diagnosed late or missed altogether due to late referral, limitation of current diagnostic methods and lack of specialized testing facilities. To address this clinical gap, we developed NeuropathAI, an interpretable deep learning–based multiclass classification ...

Efficient, Geometry-Based Convolution

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
Several computationally intensive applications in machine learning, signal processing, and computer vision call for convolution between a fixed vector and each of the incoming vectors.

Mellin convolutions of products and ratios

open access: yesFrontiers in Applied Mathematics and Statistics
Usually, convolution refers to Laplace convolution in the literature, but Mellin convolutions can yield very ueful results. This aspect is illustrated in the coming sections. This study deals with Mellin convolutions of products and ratios. Functions belonging to the pathway family of functions are considered. Several types of integral representations,

Post‐COVID Fatigue Is Associated With Reduced Cortical Thickness After Hospitalization

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neuropsychiatric symptoms are among the most prevalent sequelae of COVID‐19, particularly among hospitalized patients. Recent research has identified volumetric brain changes associated with COVID‐19. However, it currently remains poorly understood how brain changes relate to post‐COVID fatigue and cognitive deficits.

Relationships of convolution products, generalized transforms, and the first variation on function space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
We use a generalized Brownian motion process to define the generalized Fourier-Feynman transform, the convolution product, and the first variation. We then examine the various relationships that exist among the first variation, the generalized Fourier ...
