Performance of Different Concatenated Coding Schemes for CDMA System

open access: yesJournal of Engineering, 2018
In this paper different channel coding and interleaving schemes in DS/CDMA system over multipath fading channel were used. Two types of serially concatenated coding were presented.

A low-complexity turbo decoder architecture for energy-efficient wireless sensor networks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Turbo codes have recently been considered for energy-constrained wireless communication applications, since they facilitate a low transmission energy consumption.

Iterative decoding convergence and termination of serially concatenated codes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper we demonstrate that previously proposed serially concatenated codes only facilitate iterative decoding convergence towards points that are near but not at the top-right hand corner of the EXIT chart, which typically results in an error ...

On interleaver design for serially concatenated convolutional codes [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings. 2001 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (IEEE Cat. No.01CH37252), 2002
Serially concatenated convolutional codes are considered. The free distance of this construction is shown to be lower-bounded by the product of the free distances of the outer and inner codes, if the precipices of the interleaver are sufficiently large. It is shown how to construct a convolutional scrambler with a given precipice.

Interleaving Gains for Receive Diversity Schemes of Distributed Turbo Codes in Wireless Half–Duplex Relay Channels [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2015
This paper proposes the interleaving gain in two different distributed turbo-coding schemes: Distributed Turbo Codes (DTC) and Distributed Multiple Turbo Codes (DMTC) for half-duplex relay system as an extension of our previous work on turbo coding ...

Convolutionally Coded Hopping Pattern for MFSK Modulation in Underwater Acoustic Communication

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A convolutionally coded M-ary frequency shift keying (MFSK) modulation scheme for underwater acoustic communication is introduced. It uses a rate 1/log2 M inner convolutional code, whose coded symbols are used as transmission symbols.

Spatially coupled turbo-coded continuous phase modulation: asymptotic analysis and optimization

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2020
For serially or parallel concatenated communication systems, spatial coupling techniques enable to improve the threshold of these systems under iterative decoding using belief propagation (BP).

Novel Analytical Results on Performance of Bit-Interleaved and Chip-Interleaved DS-CDMA With Convolutional Coding [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2005
We present a unified performance analysis for the conventional bit-interleaved direct-sequence (DS) code-division multiple access (BIDS-CDMA) and the more recently proposed chip-interleaved DS-CDMA (CIDS-CDMA), both with channel coding. Simple CIDS-CDMA treats a set of bits at a time and interleaves their chips together for transmission.

Self‐Powered Bearing Sensing and Real‐Time Fault Diagnosis Enabled by Non‐Invasive Triboelectric Sensors and Edge AI Acceleration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study achieves the synergistic integration of self‐powered sensing and edge AI acceleration to establish a real‐time fault diagnosis system. The proposed TENG‐based self‐powered bearing sensor (NSE‐TBS) and FPGA‐accelerated edge AI framework fundamentally break through the inherent limitations of conventional monitoring systems, including complex ...
