Influence of menstrual cycle phase on inflammatory and vascular responses to acute passive heating in healthy young women

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract The aim of this study was to determine whether inflammatory and vascular responses to passive heating differ between the early follicular phase (EFP) and the mid‐luteal phase (MLP) of the menstrual cycle. Ten healthy, naturally menstruating females (26 ± 3 years of age; body mass index 21.4 ± 1.9 kg/m2) were assessed during EFP and MLP ...

Policy Choices and Individuals' Attitudes From the Perspective of Imaginary Future Generations—A Discussion Experiment With City Officials on Carbon Neutrality

open access: yesFUTURES &FORESIGHT SCIENCE, Volume 8, Issue 2, August 2026.
ABSTRACT In this study, we demonstrate the effects of adopting “imaginary future generations (IFGs),” which has been proven to be effective for generating futurability in individuals, on policy choices and individual attitudes toward environmentally friendly behavior.

Template‐Assisted 3D‐PVDF Nanonetworks for Passive Daytime Radiative Cooling

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 15, Issue 13, 13 July 2026.
Three‐dimensional polyvinylidene fluoride (3D‐PVDF) nanostructures were fabricated by infiltrating the polymer into 3D anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) templates. Due to their high solar reflectance (82.4%) and infrared emissivity (96.7% between 8 and 13 µm), they are an ideal candidate for radiative cooling.

Studying Phosphoroorganic Modification of Smac‐Mimetics to Boost Selectivity for cIAP1‐BIR3 and Unravel cIAP1/XIAP Molecular Inhibition Mechanisms

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 15, Issue 7, July 2026.
The phosphoroorganic modification of Smac‐mimetics (SMs) drives selectivity for cIAP1‐ over XIAP‐BIR3. The divalent SM 6 partially dimerizes cIAP1, whereas it prefers intramolecular binding in XIAP. In XIAP the phosphoroorganic moiety of the monovalent SM 7 functions as an IBM, thus inhibiting both BIR2 and BIR3. Created in BioRender.
