Abstract This paper explores the growing influence of young people's activism in UK museums and its educational implications. It draws on a five‐year collaborative programme (2019–2023) with young people of colour (16–28) in a university museum setting, focusing on a Young Collective established to address cultural inequalities.

A roadmap to key traits of invasive Drosophilidae
ABSTRACT Biological invasions have intensified in recent decades, mostly driven by international trade and travel, raising significant concerns, particularly regarding insect pests. Once non‐native species establish, they can disrupt natural ecosystem stability, undermine agroecosystem sustainability and cause substantial economic losses.

Resolved-sideband cooling and measurement of a micromechanical oscillator close to the quantum limit
The observation of quantum phenomena in macroscopic mechanical oscillators has been a subject of interest since the inception of quantum mechanics. Prerequisite to this regime are both preparation of the mechanical oscillator at low phonon occupancy and ...

ABSTRACT Grounded in ambivalence theories, this research examined factors shaping consumer ambivalence toward AI‐generated content and investigated differences between commercial and noncommercial contexts. As a preliminary study, sentiment analysis of Reddit data using a support vector machine (SVM) revealed that most consumer sentiment toward AI ...

This study demonstrates the feasibility of an underground closed‐loop thermal storage facility at a post‐mining site, intended for seasonal heat energy storage. Its principal design shows water flow directions in winter and summer (1, 2), heat pumps (3), an upper water reservoir (4), and connecting pipes (5).

Carbon emission assessment of tunnel infrastructures: From construction to operation
This study develops a lifecycle carbon accounting framework for tunnel infrastructures, covering design, construction, operation, maintenance, and dismantling. Applied to a subsea tunnel case, the framework reveals the carbon emission distribution among four typical tunnel types and highlights potential carbon offset methods for low‐carbon tunnel ...

Measurement and control of a mechanical oscillator at its thermal decoherence rate
In real-time quantum feedback protocols, the record of a continuous measurement is used to stabilize a desired quantum state. Recent years have seen highly successful applications in a variety of well-isolated micro-systems, including microwave photons ...
