Using coordination for cooperative constraint solving

open access: yesProceedings of the 1998 ACM symposium on Applied Computing - SAC '98, 1998
In this paper we argue for an alternative way of designing cooperative constraint solver systems using a control-oriented coordination language. The idea is to take advantage of the coordination features of MANIFOLD for improving the constraint solver collaboration language of BALI.

Identifying the impact of crisis on cooperative capital constraint. A short note on French craftsmen cooperatives

open access: yesFinance Research Letters, 2020
This research note addresses for the first time the issue of capital constraint and credit rationing for craftsmen cooperatives, which are small to medium grassroots cooperatives.

Negotiation based on constraints in cooperation

Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), 1996
This paper presents some aspects of cooperation in organizations. In the first part, we present the importance to coordination processes within an organization. Indeed, the information perceived by the company no longer pertains to the realm of the repetitive, predictable and programmable.

STABLE COOPERATION UNDER ENVIRONMENTAL CONSTRAINTS

International Game Theory Review, 2010
A game-theoretic model of territorial environmental production under Cournot competition is studied. The process is modeled as cooperative differential game. The stable distribution mechanism of the common cooperative benefit among players is proposed.

Constraint of contacting points in cooperative handling

Proceedings. 1998 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems. Innovations in Theory, Practice and Applications (Cat. No.98CH36190), 2002
We are going to analyze on the constraint among contacting points between robots and an object that is manipulated by the robot group. Constraint can be obtained by solving pseudo inverse of matrix filled by force data measured by all robots supporting one object.

Symbolic-interval cooperation in constraint programming

Proceedings of the 2001 international symposium on Symbolic and algebraic computation, 2001
This paper surveys the field of cooperative constraint solving for a constraint programming perspective with an emphasis on combinations of symbolic and interval methods. On the one hand, symbolic methods provide adapted representations of the constraint expressions.

Engineering cooperation in chimpanzees : tolerance constraints on cooperation

Animal Behaviour, 2006
The cooperative abilities of captive chimpanzees, Pan troglodytes, in experiments do not match the sophistication that might be predicted based on their naturally occurring cooperative behaviours. This discrepancy might partly be because in previous experiments potential chimpanzee cooperators were partnered without regard to their social relationship.

Defining bandwidth constraints with cooperative games

2009 International Conference on Ultra Modern Telecommunications & Workshops, 2009
This paper proposes the use of Cooperative Game Models to arbitrate bandwidth constraints in Bandwidth Constraint Models. This work adopts cooperative games as a mathematical tool for arbitrating bandwidth constraints, considering differentiated service classes and network load information.

A DISTRIBUTED COOPERATING CONSTRAINTS SOLVING SYSTEM

International Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools, 1995
An appropriate combination of symbolic and numeric solvers often makes it possible to solve problems that none of these solvers can tackle alone. In this paper, we specify a cooperative architecture which allows using concurrently heterogeneous solvers when handling constraints over the reals.
