Abstract This paper attempts to explain why in Korean some morphological causatives are ambiguous in terms of adverbial scope, whereas others are not so. It is argued that the phenomenon is not random, but that it is the nature of the basic verb in relation to the causer and causee that motivates the adverbial ambiguity in morphological causatives. The

Cooperative Control of Two Manipulators
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1985Abstract The problem of controlling two manipulators in a cooperative manner is investigated. The basic task is to move an object from one place to another by grasping it at two different points using two manipulators. A position control method for two cooperating manipulators is proposed. The Cartesian trajectories of each manipulator are determined

Instability Mechanisms in Cooperative Control
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2008We consider a motion coordination problem with second order agent dynamics and examine the closed-loop robustness with respect to switching topology, variation of link gain, and unmodeled dynamics. In each case, we illustrate with examples possible instability mechanisms and discuss under what conditions stability is maintained.

Encrypted Cooperative Control Revisited
2019 IEEE 58th Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2019Distributed systems are ubiquitous in present-day technologies like smart cities. Such applications require decentralized control, which reduces the load on a single central party, but requires communication and data sharing between the participating agents. However, agents might not trust their peers with their private data.

Cooperative Adaptive Cruise Control
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2015Cooperative adaptive cruise control (CACC) includes multiple concepts of communication-enabled vehicle following and speed control. Definitions and classifications are presented to help clarify the distinctions between types of automated vehicle-following control that are often conflated with each other.

Autonomous Cooperative Factory Control
2000In a highly flexible manufacturing line, the ability of the control system to react to and predict changes will ultimately determine the productivity of that line. This paper describes an Autonomous Cooperative System (ACS) for flexibly control a manufacturing line.

Internal Controls and Cooperative Banks
2009The increase in competition in European banking and the dangers of the erosion of market shares have pushed financial intermediaries to critically review their competitive models in the search for the correct business equilibrium required in the new market scene.
