Probabilistic game approaches for network cost allocation

open access: yes
In a restructured power market, the network cost is to be allocated between multiple players utilizing the system in varying capacities. Cooperative game approaches based on Shapley value and Nucleolus provide stable models for embedded cost allocation ...

Machine Learning‐Assisted KCl‐CaCl2‐LiCl Electrolyte Design for Low‐Temperature, High‐Performance Calcium‐Based Liquid Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A machine learning‐assisted framework optimizes the KCl‐CaCl2‐LiCl ternary electrolyte. The optimized 13:35:52 mol% composition enables Ca‐based liquid metal batteries to operate stably at 480 °C, with >99.5% coulombic efficiency, ultralow self‐discharge, and excellent cycling stability, advancing low‐temperature large‐scale energy storage.

Conformational Snapshots of CydDC in a Native Lipid Bilayer Coupling Heme Transport to Antibiotic Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phylogenetic and biochemical analyses of the heme transporter CydDC reveal its functional conservation throughout bacterial evolution and demonstrate its unique asymmetric allosteric mechanism. Furthermore, impairment of CydDC function directly affects bacterial antibiotic resistance and likely compromises antibiotic efficacy through drug efflux.

On (Non-) Monotonicity of Cooperative Solutions [PDF]

open access: yes
Aggregate monotonicity of cooperative solutions is widely accepted as a desirable property, and examples where certain solution concepts (such as the nucleolus) violate this property are scarce and have no economic interpretation.

ZNF33B Promotes Japanese Encephalitis Virus Infection by Regulating the Stability of M6A‐Modified Trim25 to Control the Autophagy Process

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Upon JEV infection, ZNF33B recruits METTL14 to stabilize the METTL3‐METTL14 m6A methyltransferase complex, leading to increased m6A modification of host transcripts, including Trim25 mRNA. ZNF33B selectively binds m6A‐modified sites on Trim25 mRNA and accelerates its decay, resulting in reduced TRIM25 protein abundance.

Bargaining Set Solution Concepts in Dynamic Cooperative Games

open access: yes
This paper is concerned with the question of defining the bargaining set, a cooperative game solution, when cooperation takes place in a dynamic setting.

Cooperation in an HMMS-type supply chain: A management application of cooperative game theory = Kooperáció egy HMMS-típusú ellátási láncban: A kooperatív játékelmélet egy menedzsment alkalmazása

open access: yes, 2010
We apply cooperative game theory concepts to analyze a Holt-Modigliani-Muth-Simon (HMMS) supply chain. The bullwhip effect in a two-stage supply chain (supplier-manufacturer) in the framework of the HMMS-model with quadratic cost functions is considered.

AI‐Assisted Digital Single‐Molecule Activity Tracker for Decoupling Intrinsic Heterogeneity from Photo‐Oxidative Damage in High‐Photon‐Flux Enzymology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Employing a digital single‐molecule activity tracker (dSMAT), this research demonstrates that high‐photon‐flux irradiation drives progressive oxidative scarring in polymerases. Unlike simple thermal denaturation, real‐time kinetic tracking dynamically visualizes enzymes degrading into multiple impaired subpopulations.
