Pushing the limits of the reaction-coordinate mapping [PDF]
The reaction-coordinate mapping is a useful technique to study complex quantum dissipative dynamics into structured environments. In essence, it aims to mimic the original problem by means of an “augmented system,” which includes a suitably chosen collective environmental coordinate—the “reaction coordinate.” This composite then couples to a simpler ...

The Reaction Coordinate Mapping in Quantum Thermodynamics [PDF]
We present an overview of the reaction coordinate approach to handling strong system-reservoir interactions in quantum thermodynamics. This technique is based on incorporating a collective degree of freedom of the reservoir (the reaction coordinate) into an enlarged system Hamiltonian (the supersystem), which is then treated explicitly.

Mapping the Reaction Coordinates of Enzymatic Defluorination [PDF]
The carbon-fluorine bond is the strongest covalent bond in organic chemistry, yet fluoroacetate dehalogenases can readily hydrolyze this bond under mild physiological conditions. Elucidating the molecular basis of this rare biocatalytic activity will provide the fundamental chemical insights into how this formidable feat is achieved. Here, we present a

Derivation and application of an analytical rock displacement solution on rectangular cavern wall using the inverse mapping method. [PDF]
Rectangular caverns are increasingly used in underground engineering projects, the failure mechanism of rectangular cavern wall rock is significantly different as a result of the cross-sectional shape and variations in wall stress distributions. However,

$n$-Harmonic coordinates and the regularity of conformal mappings [PDF]
This article studies the smoothness of conformal mappings between two Riemannian manifolds whose metric tensors have limited regularity. We show that any bi-Lipschitz conformal mapping or $1$-quasiregular mapping between two manifolds with $C^r$ metric tensors ($r > 1$) is a $C^{r+1}$ conformal (local) diffeomorphism.
