Hand–Eye Calibration Algorithm Based on an Optimized Neural Network

open access: yesActuators, 2021
A robot can identify the position of a target and complete a grasping based on the hand–eye calibration algorithm, through which the relationship between the robot coordinate system and the camera coordinate system can be established. The accuracy of the

Thermostable neutral metalloprotease from Geobacillus sp. EA1 does not share thermolysin's preference for substrates with leucine at the P1′ position

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Knowing how proteases recognise preferred substrates facilitates matching proteases to applications. The S1′ pocket of protease EA1 directs cleavage to the N‐terminal side of hydrophobic residues, particularly leucine. The S1′ pocket of thermolysin differs from EA's at only one position (leucine in place of phenylalanine), which decreases cleavage ...

Exploring lipid diversity and minimalism to define membrane requirements for synthetic cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Designing the lipid membrane of synthetic cells is a complex task, in which its various roles (among them solute transport, membrane protein support, and self‐replication) should all be integrated. In this review, we report the latest top‐down and bottom‐up advances and discuss compatibility and complexity issues of current engineering approaches ...

Relativistic Collective Coordinate System of Solitons and Spinning Skyrmion

open access: yes, 2010
We consider constructing the relativistic system of collective coordinates of a field theory soliton on the basis of a simple principle: The collective coordinates must be introduced into the static solution in such a way that the equation of motion of ...

Single cis‐elements in brassinosteroid‐induced upregulated genes are insufficient to recruit both redox states of the BIL1/BZR1 DNA‐binding domain

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phytohormone brassinosteroid‐induced gene regulation by the transcription factor BIL1/BZR1 involves redox‐dependent DNA‐binding alternation and interaction with the transcription factor PIF4. The reduced BIL1/BZR1 dimer binds preferred cis‐elements, while oxidation alters its oligomerization state and disrupts DNA‐binding ability.

Analysis of the form vault temple bearing by the laser apparatus LEICA TCR 305 [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 2007
As an object of mapping we choosed some of churches as an object of mapping. Ve determined the aisle of Rozalia church in Košice by means using the apparatus Leica TCR 305. The oblique transverse profile was measured.

On the Arithmetic of Projective Coordinate Systems [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1984
A complete list of subdirectly irreducible modular (Arguesian) lattices generated by a frame of order n ≥ 4 ( n ≥ 3 ) n \geq 4\;(n \geq 3) is given. Also, it is shown that a modular lattice variety containing the rational projective geometries cannot be both finitely based ...

Generations of orthogonal surface coordinates [PDF]

open access: yes, 1980
Two generation methods were developed for three dimensional flows where the computational domain normal to the surface is small. With this restriction the coordinate system requires orthogonality only at the body surface.

Structural dynamics of the plant hormone receptor ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The present study unveils the structural and signaling dynamics of ETR1, a key plant ethylene receptor. Using an optimized nanodisc system and solution NMR, we captured full‐length ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment. Our findings reveal dynamic domain uncoupling and Cu(I)‐induced rigidification, providing the first evidence of metal‐triggered ...

Mechanistic basis for inhibition of the extended‐spectrum β‐lactamase GES‐1 by enmetazobactam and tazobactam

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is of huge importance, resulting in over 1 million deaths each year. Here, we describe how a new drug, enmetazobactam, designed to help fight resistant bacterial diseases, inhibits a key enzyme (GES‐1) responsible for AMR. Our data show it is a more potent inhibitor than the related tazobactam, with high‐level computation
