THE DERIVED DEMAND FOR IRRIGATION SCHEDULING SERVICES

open access: yes
Scientific irrigation scheduling is a technique for systematically determining the proper date and quantity of each irrigation in individual fields. This technique is presently being used by government agencies and private companies in the Western United

COORDINATED SCHEDULING FOR WIRELESS BACKHAUL NETWORKS WITH SOFT FREQUENCY REUSE

open access: yes, 2014
Coordinated resource allocation is a topic of significant interest for emerging wireless networks. This paper proposes and examines the benefits of coordinated scheduling in soft frequency reuse (SFR) based systems.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Interference-Aware AAV-TBS Coordinated NOMA: Joint User Scheduling, Power Allocation and Trajectory Design

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Vehicular Technology
We propose an autonomous aerial vehicle (AAV)-terrestrial base station (TBS) coordinated non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) scheme where AAV as an air BS coordinates with TBS to serve the users at cell edge via coordinated multi-point, and investigate

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Demand-based coordinated scheduling for SMP VMs

open access: yes, 2013
As processor architectures have been enhancing their computing capacity by increasing core counts, independent workloads can be consolidated on a single node for the sake of high resource efficiency in data centers.

Logistics–Energy Coordinated Scheduling in Hybrid AC/DC Ship–Shore Interconnection Architecture with Enabling Peak-Shaving of Quay Crane Clusters

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
With the gradual rise of battery-powered ships, the high-power charging demand during berthing is poised to exacerbate the peak-to-valley difference in the port grid, possibly leading to grid congestion and logistical disruption.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Coordinated user scheduling in the multi-cell MIMO downlink

open access: yes, 2011
We propose a novel, coordinated user scheduling (CUS) algorithm for inter-cell interference (ICI) mitigation in the downlink of a multi-cell multi-user MIMO system.
