Copper Coordination Complexes for Energy-Relevant Applications

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
Copper coordination complexes have emerged as a group of transition metal complexes that play important roles in solar energy conversion, utilization and storage, and have the potential to replace the quintessential commonly used transition metals, like ...

Coordination-induced skeletal rearrangements of zirconacyclobutene-silacyclobutene fused complexes

open access: yes, 2014
Coordination-induced skeletal rearrangement of transition-metal complexes is of fundamental interest both synthetically and mechanistically. Besides commonly observed ligand substitution, the coordination of ligands may greatly alter the steric and ...

Metal complexes as DNA intercalators [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
DNA has a strong affinity for many heterocyclic aromatic dyes, such as acridine and its derivatives. Lerman in 1961 first proposed intercalation as the source of this affinity, and this mode of DNA binding has since attracted considerable research ...

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Therapeutic Apheresis in Nigeria: A Multi‐Center Summary of Abstracts From the Inaugural Nigerian Society for Apheresis Scientific Meeting

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Therapeutic apheresis (TA) is an established treatment modality for hematologic, neurologic, and immunologic disorders, yet access remains severely limited in sub‐Saharan Africa. Donor apheresis, including platelet apheresis collection from healthy donors, represents an important complementary modality supporting blood product ...

Coordination complexes of silver(I) with tertiary phosphine and related ligands

open access: yes, 2009
This paper gives an overview of the structural chemistry of silver(I) coordination complexes. The main discussion is on the halide complexes (F-, Cl-, Br-, I-) but included are also the pseudo-halides (CN-, SCN-) and the classical non-coordinating anions

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Responsive lanthanide complexes for metal ion sensing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The speciation and distribution of zinc (II) within cells is not well established and the range of zinc (II) probes available are of limited use. The quest was to develop responsive lanthanide complexes to bind selectively and respond (by change in ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

AZOLIGANDS AS BRIDGED IN MACROCYCLIC DINICKEL COMPLEXES [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2010
The coordination chemistry of dinickel macrocyclic hexaamine-dithiophenolate complexes of Robson-type with azoligands is presented in this microreview. All complexes have been characterised by IR-,UV/Visspectroscopy, and X-ray crystallography.
