Coordination and Control

1988
Our development of multi-sensor systems has so far concentrated on the problem of integrating diverse geometric observations from different sensors to provide a robust estimate of the location of objects in a known but uncertain environment. To extend these techniques to the more complex problem of estimating the state of an unknown environment, we ...

Oculo-manual tracking of visual targets: control learning, coordination control and coordination model

Experimental Brain Research, 1988
The processes which develop to coordinate eye and hand movements in response to motion of a visual target were studied in young children and adults. We have shown that functional maturation of the coordination control between eye and hand takes place as a result of training. We observed, in the trained child and in the adult, that when the hand is used

Coordination and control

2007
In order for an organization to achieve its objectives, some form of planning system is needed. This, in turn, demands an organization structure both to create marketing plans and to implement them. For a marketing-oriented organization (that is, focused on consumer needs), the structure should be built from the bottom up by looking first at customers ...

Posture and movement: coordination and control.

Archives italiennes de biologie, 1997
Studies are reviewed that address the problem of the variables controlled in the maintenance of body posture and generation of limb movement. Vestibulospinal and neck reflexes cancel each other in response to roll, but not in response to pitch of the animal. In pitch trunk orientation is not effectively stabilized in space.

Control and Coordination of Economic Activity

1987
The particular point of view of the present paper is that it looks upon the economy as a control system. This approach was pioneered in the 1950s by Simon (1952), Tustin (1953), Phillips (1954) and Geyer and Oppelt (1957). Lange (1965) attempted an early synthesis. In the 1970s the idea became widespread and developed in two directions.

Coordination, Not Control, Is Central to Movement

2011
The notion of the control of action is contrasted with that of coordination. In coordinated action, many parts of the body (or bodies) come together to act as if they served a specific purpose, recognizable as a behavioral goal. Such simpler domains of yoked components are called coordinative structures.

Coordination and Access Control of Mobile Agents

1999
Klaim (a Kernel Language for Agents Interaction and Mobility) [1] is an experimental programming language specifically designed for programming mobile agents that supports a programming paradigm where both processes and data can be moved across different computing environments.
