Development and Characterization of Copaiba Oil‐Loaded Polymeric Nanocapsules With Enhanced Antitumor Activity Against Breast Cancer Cells

The present study developed and characterized a novel copaiba oil polymeric nanoparticle (NPOC), which was efficiently internalized by breast cancer cells, exhibited greater cytotoxicity and selectivity than free copaiba oil and standard drug doxorubicin. NPOC also reduced tumor growth and migration in 3D models.

The equator‐facing portions of tree trunks receive direct sunlight and create restrictive microclimate conditions for lichens that orient preferentially towards the Earth's poles where trunks are shaded, indicating an optimal zone at the fine‐scale radial dimension.

Breaking the norm: Absence of seed size/seed number trade‐off in Hymanaea stigonocarpa, a tree species from the Brazilian semi‐arid

Seed size/number trade‐off is a central topic in plant biology as it reflects ecological and evolutionary aspects of the species. Here we report the absence of a trade‐off mass/number of seeds and fruits in a polyspermic plant probably associated to abortion of self‐pollinated pistils and flowers.
