High‐Power Terahertz Emission from Picosecond Nano‐Plasma Switching Driven by Secondary Electron Emission Avalanche

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nano‐plasma device enables watt‐level on‐chip THz generation through picosecond switching triggered by secondary electron emission avalanche. An ultra‐dense electron sheet initiates nano‐plasma formation within a ∼100 nm gap, driving rapid energy release into an integrated resonator.

Analytical attenuation calculation of asymmetrical coplanar waveguide with finite‐extent ground planes for coplanar waveguide mode

open access: yesMicrowave and Optical Technology Letters, 2007
AbstractIn this study, fast and new analytical formulations have been presented for correct loss calculations in asymmetrical coplanar waveguides (CPW) with finite‐extent ground planes for CPW mode. To generalize loss analysis for CPW mode, not only gaps but also finite ground planes are assumed as asymmetric.

Polymer‐Based Multiparameter Sensing Integrated Photonic Chip for Health Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A monolithic integrated photonic chip simultaneously measures blood glucose, pressure, temperature, ECG, and sweat glucose. Combining multiple Bragg grating sensors, Mach–Zehnder modulators, and an on–‐chip demodulation unit, this compact chip (1 cm × 0.5 cm) offers robust multiparameter detection.

Dielectric Resonator Nanoantenna Coupled to Metallic Coplanar Waveguide

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2015
A proposal about a dielectric resonator nanoantenna applied to couple optical beams to a surface plasmon coplanar waveguide (SP CPW), and vice versa, was theoretically investigated. The effects of this device operating in optical frequencies were studied,

Enhanced High Dimensionality and the Information Processing Capacity in Interfered Spin Wave‐Based Reservoir Computing, Achieved With Eight Detectors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Physical reservoir computing (PRC) based on spin wave interference has demonstrated high computational performance, yet room for improvement remains. In this study, we fabricated this concept PRC with eight detectors and evaluated the impact of the number of detectors using a chaotic time series prediction task.

Circulators using coplanar waveguide

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1986
Bosma's method of analysing stripline circulator operation is modified to suit circulators using coplanar waveguide. One of the circulators designed in this way shows a maximum isolation of 19.1 dB, insertion loss 0.8 dB and VSWR 1.3 or less at a centre frequency of 9.56 GHz.
