Cathodic Deposition of Silicon from Phenyltrichlorosilane in an Organic Solvent

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2013
The electrodeposition of silicon was carried out in acetone containing phenyltrichlorosilane and tetrabutylammonium chloride. Linear sweep voltammograms showed the possibility of electrodeposition of Si at −3.3V versus Pt quasi-R.E using a variety of ...

Investigations of Zr(IV) in LiF-CaF2: stability with oxide ions and electroreduction pathway on inert and reactive electrodes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this work, a detailed electrochemical study of the molten LiF-CaF2-ZrF4 system is provided in the 810-920°C temperature range, allowing the determination of the reduction potential, the diffusion coefficient and the reduction mechanism of dissolved Zr(

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Electrocristallization of Copper from Non-Cyanide Alkaline Solution Containing Glycine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrochemical Science, 2011
A thermodynamic study by means of potential-pH (Pourbaix type) and species repartition diagrams is presented in this work with the view to better understand the electrodeposition of copper from non-cyanide alkaline solution containing glycine.

Interaction of Bis-(sodium-sulfopropyl)-Disulfide and Polyethylene Glycol on the Copper Electrodeposited Layer by Time-of-Flight Secondary-Ion Mass Spectrometry

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
The interactions of the functional additives SPS (bis-(sodium-sulfopropyl)-disulfide) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) in the presence of chloride ions were studied by time-of-flight secondary-ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) in combination with cyclic ...

Roughness Factors of Electrodeposited Nanostructured Copper Foams

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2023
Copper-based electrocatalytic materials play a critical role in various electrocatalytic processes, including the electroreduction of carbon dioxide and nitrate. Three-dimensional nanostructured electrodes are particularly advantageous for electrocatalytic applications due to their large surface area, which facilitates charge transfer and mass ...

3D Anodic Alumina Nanoarchitectures: A Decade of Progress from Foundational Science to Functional Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Ordered three‐dimensional anodic aluminum oxide (3D‐AAO) nanoarchitectures with longitudinal and transverse pores enable architecture‐driven metamaterials. The review maps fabrication advances, including hybrid pulse anodization, and shows how 3D‐AAO templates tailor properties across magnetism, energy, catalysis, and sensing.

Electrodeposition of Bright Copper

open access: yesTransactions of The Electrochemical Society, 1940
The bright copper plates obtained from various solutions heretofore proposed are not comparable in appearance with the bright nickel deposits commercially produced today. Upon adding ammonium sulfate to the copper amine baths recommended by Brockman, bright ductile plates of copper were obtained. The new commercial bath contains 100 g./L.
