The title complex, [Cu(C22H19N2O3S2)2], was obtained from the reaction between (Z)-methyl 2-(5-benzylimino-4-benzylcarbamothioyl-3-oxothiolan-2-ylidene)acetate and Cu(NO3)2. The CuII atom is tetracoordinated by two N,S-bidentate ligands, forming a highly

{1,1′-Bis[(pyridin-2-yl)methyl]-2,2′-bipiperidyl}(perchlorato)copper(II) perchlorate
The title complex, [CuII(ClO4)(mesoPYBP)](ClO4) {PYBP = 1,1′-bis[(pyridin-2-yl)methyl]-2,2′-bipiperidyl, C22H30N4}, was prepared and found to crystallize with two crystallographically independent complex salt moieties.

Synthesis, characterization of new homo and heteronuclear Schiff base copper(II) complexes
This article describes the synthesis of isonitrosomethyl-p-tolyl ketone [HL] as the starting material and then we prepared the schiff base ligand from the reactions of the amine compounds with o-phenylenediamine [H2L1].

Copper(II) forms in the pH range 6.3 to 7.8 a yellowish brown complex with 3-nitroso-4-hydroxy-5,6-benzocoumarin which is soluble in a 60 % dioxan medium giving a deep yellow coloured solution. Beer’s law is obeyed up to 2.80 ppm of copper(II) at 420 nm.

Binding copper(II) ion released from azo-amino acid Schiff base complex into lysozyme crystals as models for treatment of Alzheimer’s disease [PDF]
Aim: One of the causes of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the structural change and aggregation of target proteins due to the binding of metal ions. In this study, we investigated where copper(II) ions bound to the protein egg white lysozyme crystals in a ...

Copper(II), Nickel(II) and Zinc(II) Complexes of Peptide Fragments of Tau Protein
Copper(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) complexes of various peptide fragments of tau protein were studied by potentiometric and spectroscopic techniques. All peptides contained one histidyl residue and represented the sequences of tau(91–97) (Ac-AQPHTEI-NH2)

The Role of Side Chains in the Fine-Tuning of the Metal-Binding Ability of Multihistidine Peptides
The systematic studies of copper(II), nickel(II) and zinc(II) ion complexes of protected multihistidine peptides containing amino acids with different side chains (Ac-SarHAH-NH2, Ac-HADH-NH2, Ac-HDAH-NH2, Ac-HXHYH-NH2 X, Y = A, F, D or K, Ac-HXHAHXH-NH2,
