Metal Oxide Doping Modulates the Performances of Copper Oxide Nanoparticular Biocides
Copper has been used as a biocide for more than one century, in various applications. However, as a biocide, copper, both metallic, as a salt or as copper oxide particles, is toxic not only to its intended targets, mainly bacteria and fungi, but also to ...

Ionic Precursors Transformed Into Vinyl Acetate Synthesis Catalyst via Reaction‐Driven Restructuring
This work demonstrates that a simple physical mixture of Pd and Au ionic precursors, KOAc promoter, and SiO2 support can transform into a highly active vinyl acetate synthesis catalyst through reaction‐driven restructuring. The results highlight reaction‐induced restructuring as an innovative and sustainable catalyst design strategy.

GREEN SYNTHESIS OF COPPER OXIDE NANOPARTICLES
Nanoparticles of metal and metallic oxides have become a very active research area in the field of material chemistry. The surface effect is mainly responsible for deviation of the properties of nano-materials from that of the bulk. Nanosize copper oxide was synthesized by hydrolysis of copper salts in basic medium using biodegradable non-ionic polymer

Chitin‐Derived Carbon‐Metal Functional Materials
Functional carbon materials are synthesized from combination of biopolymer (chitin) and iron precursors. The resultant material exhibits superior surface area and adsorptive properties compared to carbon materials synthesized directly from pure chitin.
