Synthesis of non-oxidative copper nanoparticles

open access: yesRSC Advances, 2013
A novel aqueous reduction method for the efficient synthesis of non-oxidative copper (Cu) nanopowders without using a protecting agent or introducing of an inert gas is presented. By this new method, high purity Cu nanopowders can be produced that exhibit good electrical conductivity with an electrical resistivity on the order of 10−4 Ω cm.

Biomimetic Core–Shell Liposome Nanoparticles Deplete Lipoproteins and Enhance the Purity of Extracellular Vesicles from Human Blood

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Lipoprotein‐mimicking nanoparticles (SL‐NPs), comprising Fe3O4@SiO2 cores coated with liposomal bilayers, selectively capture lipoproteins through protein corona formation. The resulting SL‐NP‐lipoprotein complexes can be removed by low‐speed centrifugation, thereby enhancing the purity of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) isolated from human serum ...

CO2‐to‐CO Conversion in a Gas‐Fed, Zero‐Gap, PEM Electrolyzer Enabled by Polycations and Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon‐Supported Cobalt Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A gas‐fed, zero‐gap, PEM CO2 electrolyzer is realized by incorporating PDDA+ ions onto the carbonaceous Co/N‐C electrocatalyst, with gaseous H2 and CO2 fed into the anode and cathode, respectively. Operating without an aqueous electrolyte, the system sustains a peak FECO of 65.1% at 100 mA cm−2. ABSTRACT Electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction (ECO2R)
