Deposition of graphene–copper composite film by cold spray from particles with graphene grown on copper particles

Diamond and Related Materials, 2021
Abstract Graphene has been used to improve tribological property due to its extraordinary properties. For graphene composite, obtaining uniformly distributed and less damaged graphene is important for better improvement. In this research, graphene was fabricated on copper particle by thermal chemical vapor deposition to minimize structural damage and

Copper in Aerosol Particles Produced by the Ocean

Science, 1978
Measurements of particulate copper in the atmosphere near the island of Tasmania indicate that the ocean is a source of atmospheric copper. A biogenic agent may be responsible for the approximately 20,000-fold enrichment of copper during aerosol production from the ocean.

Voltammetry of Copper Sulfide Particles

2004
Adsorption of CuS and Cu2S nanoparticles on Hg electrode was investigated voltammetrically. The results showed that metal-sulfise particles in the reaction with Hg produce effects, which could be confused with effects produced by dissolved sulfur species.

Nanometer size copper particles in copper chromite catalysts

1995
Publisher Summary It is difficult to obtain copper in atomic state on the surface of an oxide catalyst. Therefore, the task of achieving metallic copper with a large surface area becomes crucial. Highly dispersed copper can be obtained on the surface via the reduction of copper-containing oxides.

Copper Particles From Intrauterine Contraceptive Device

Archives of Dermatology, 1974
To the Editor.— Recently, in the process of evaluating the inflammatory response to different surface textures of plastic, our attention was drawn to the article by Dr. Barranco on eczematous dermatitis caused by internal exposure to copper published in theArchives(106:386, 1972). The results of our studies confirmed his observation that small amounts

Sol-Gel Derived Silica Films with Ultrafine Copper, Copper Sulfide and Copper Selenide Particles

Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology, 2003
A development of the silica-based sol-gel materials in the form of films containing ultrafine copper compounds and metallic copper is presented. Semiconductor nanoparticles with new optical features due to size effects and unique chemical properties of copper are produced.

Copper-matrix molybdenum particle composites made from copper coated molybdenum powder

Journal of Electronic Materials, 1995
Copper-matrix molybdenum particle composites containing 33 ~73 wt.% Mo were fabricated by hot pressing copper coated molybdenum powder. For comparison, corresponding composites fabricated by hot pressing a mixture of copper and molybdenum powders were also made.

Light, Copper, Action: Visible-Light Illumination Enhances Bactericidal Activity of Copper Particles

ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering
Bacteria are an old concern to human health, as they are responsible for nosocomial infections, and the number of antibiotic-resistant microorganisms keeps growing. Copper is known for its intrinsic biocidal properties, and therefore, it is a promising material to combat infections when added to surfaces.

Use of orally administered oxidised copper wire particles for copper therapy in cattle

The Bovine Practitioner, 1986
Oxidised copper wire particles (OCWP) were given per os to cattle as an alternative to subcutaneous copper glycinate injections. OCWP were recovered from the stomachs of cattle slaughtered 3 months after treatment. OCWP (50g) treatment resulted in sustained higher plasma copper concentrations than subcutaneous injections of copper glycinate. OCWP given

Heats and kinetics of oxidation of small copper particles in copper-containing catalysts

Journal of Thermal Analysis, 1984
The r.t. interaction of oxygen with finely-divided copper in Cu/ZnO catalysts has been studied by gas-solid microcalorimetry. The oxidation is accompanied by the presence of a pseudo-equilibrium pressure, which increases as the reaction proceeds. Surface and several subsurface layers are involved, but a metallic core is always left.
