Optimization of hydrolysis conditions for the mannooligosaccharides copra meal hydrolysate production [PDF]
Copra meal is a good source of galactomannan and its mannooligosaccharides have prebiotic properties. However, limited data are available concerning the ideal requirements for mannan hydrolysis. Thus, optimum hydrolysis conditions for the production of oligosaccharides from copra meal hydrolysate were investigated using response surface methodology ...

FREQUENCY OF COCONUT HARVESTING AND COPRA PRODUCTION
From the 26 000 ha planted with coconut palm in the state of Tabasco, only 30% is harvested periodically (every four months). In the rest of the area, growers just pick up the fallen coconuts from the ground with the consequence of a high percentage of germinated fruits. This condition drastically reduces copra quality and quantity.

Catalytic Pyrolysis of Coconut Copra and Rice Husk for Possible Maximum Production of Bio-Oil
The main objective of the present work is to study the effect of the nickel catalyst on pyrolysis of coconut copra and rice husk via thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA). The optimisation of catalyst weight ratio on biomass is also determined. The sample is pyrolysed from 30 °C up to 700 °C at 10 °C/min of heating rate in nitrogen (N2) environment flowing

Copra produced by farmers is below the set quality standards, with characteristics: brown in color, smells of smoke, moisture content is quite high around 15 22% so it is easily attacked by microorganisms. So there needs to be innovation for the process of making copra, one of the innovations in processing coconut into copra using Kubung.

This study evaluated the microbial conversion of coconut oil waste, a major agro-residue in tropical countries, into single cell oil (SCO) feedstock for biodiesel production. Copra cake was used as a low-cost renewable substrate without any prior chemical or enzymatic pretreatment for submerged growth of an oleaginous tropical mangrove fungus ...
