Optimization of hydrolysis conditions for the mannooligosaccharides copra meal hydrolysate production [PDF]
Copra meal is a good source of galactomannan and its mannooligosaccharides have prebiotic properties. However, limited data are available concerning the ideal requirements for mannan hydrolysis. Thus, optimum hydrolysis conditions for the production of oligosaccharides from copra meal hydrolysate were investigated using response surface methodology ...

FREQUENCY OF COCONUT HARVESTING AND COPRA PRODUCTION [PDF]
From the 26 000 ha planted with coconut palm in the state of Tabasco, only 30% is harvested periodically (every four months). In the rest of the area, growers just pick up the fallen coconuts from the ground with the consequence of a high percentage of germinated fruits. This condition drastically reduces copra quality and quantity.

Catalytic Pyrolysis of Coconut Copra and Rice Husk for Possible Maximum Production of Bio-Oil [PDF]
The main objective of the present work is to study the effect of the nickel catalyst on pyrolysis of coconut copra and rice husk via thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA). The optimisation of catalyst weight ratio on biomass is also determined. The sample is pyrolysed from 30 °C up to 700 °C at 10 °C/min of heating rate in nitrogen (N2) environment flowing

Optimization of inulinase production using copra waste by K. marxianus var. marxianus
Kluyveromyces marxianus var. marxianus was found to secrete a large amount of extracellular inulinase in to the medium. The optimization of inulinase pro¬duction using copra waste as a carbon source was performed with statistical methodology based on experimental designs.

Production of Cellulolytic Enzymes by the Fungi Associated with the Spoilage of Copra [PDF]
Among the fungi isolated from spoiled copra, Botryodiplodia theobromae, Aspergillus flavus and, A. niger produced more cellulolytic enzyme (C1) while Curvularia senegalensis and penicillium citrinum produced more Cx enzyme. The enzyme activity increased with the period of incubation and was maximum on 16th day.
