Assessing the effect of calcination on adsorption capability of Mg/Al layer double hydroxides (LDHs)
The present study was carried out to prepare and characterize calcined Mg/Al layer double hydroxides (LDHs) used in the adsorption of methyl orange in an aqueous solution as an anionic dye in a batch system. Synthesis of LDHs using coprecipitation method

Grain Growth-Controlled Giant Permittivity in Soft Chemistry CaCu3Ti4O12 Ceramics [PDF]
We report a dielectric constant of up to 5.4105 at room temperature and 1 kHz for CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) ceramics, derived from multiphase powders (coprecipitation products), made by a ‘‘chimie douce’’ (coprecipitation) method, and then sintered in air ...

A dual‐functional Nb2O5 modulation strategy is reported to overcome kinetic limitations in Ni‐rich cathodes. The formation of LiNbO3 phase at the grain boundary of the polycrystalline NCM9055 cathode preserves a radially aligned microstructure and establishes fast lithium‐ion pathways.

We here developed a molecular tool for the optical control of UGGAA repeat RNA foci, a pathological hallmark of spinocerebellar ataxia type 31 (SCA31). The photoswitchable RNA‐binding ligand enabled reversible control of the RNA foci. UV irradiation induced the growth of the RNA foci, while subsequent visible light irradiation dissolved the structure ...

Supercritical antisolvent coprecipitation mechanisms
Abstract Supercritical antisolvent precipitation (SAS) has been successfully used to produce microparticles and nanoparticles of controlled size and distribution either as a single precipitates or by coprecipitation of two or more compounds. SAS coprecipitation process has produced different particles morphologies and, differently from the single ...

Gas phase selective hydrogenation of furfural to furfuryl alcohol and 2-methylfuran over Cu-CeO2 coprecipitated catalysts [PDF]
Furfural is an important chemical derived from lignocellulosic biomass, in particular from C5 sugars like xylose, and it is considered as a platform molecule of great potential for the synthesis of a broad spectrum of chemicals.
