DOA estimation exploiting extended co-array of coprime array
2016 CIE International Conference on Radar (RADAR), 2016In this paper, we propose a Vectorized Conjugate Augmented MUSIC (VCAM) method which can construct an extended co-array named as diff-sum co-array. The diff-sum co-array comprises not only the difference co-array but also the sum co-array. Taking coprime array as the array model, we find all the holes in the difference co-array can be filled up by the ...

Sampling with semi-coprime arrays
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2018This research introduces a new array geometry called Semi-Coprime Array (SCA) that has the potential to significantly increase the degrees of freedom of a Uniform Linear Array (ULA). An SCA interleaves three ULAs (Subarray 1, Subarray 2, and Subarray 3). Each SCA has two underlying coprime integers (M and N).

Multi-target localization using frequency diverse coprime arrays with coprime frequency offsets
2016 IEEE Radar Conference (RadarConf), 2016The performance of the frequency diverse array (FDA) radar is fundamentally limited by the geometry of the array and the frequency offset. In this paper, we overcome this limitation by introducing a novel sparsity-based multi-target localization approach incorporating both coprime array and coprime frequency offset.

Subarray based localization using extended coprime arrays
Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2015Partitioning of long linear arrays into a number of smaller subsections, termed subarrays, is a common form of processing used both to compensate for irregularity in array shape and to localize near-field sources. While this manner of processing is applicable to uniform linear arrays, as the subarrays are similarly uniform and possess the same minimum ...

Analysis of Coprime Arrays on Moving Platform
ICASSP 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2019Moving platforms enable sparse arrays to assume higher degrees of freedom and lead to increased number of lags. In essence, array motion can fill the holes in the spatial auto-correlation lags associated with a fixed platform and, therefore, increase the number of sources detectable by the same physical array. In this paper, we consider coprime arrays,

Sparse coprime sensing with multidimensional lattice arrays
2011 Digital Signal Processing and Signal Processing Education Meeting (DSP/SPE), 2011Consider two uniform samplers operating simultaneously on a signal, with sample spacings MT and NT where M and N are coprime integers, and T has time or space dimension. It can be shown that the difference coarray of this pair of sampling arrays has elements at all integer multiples of T, regardless of how large M and N are.

Gaussian signal detection by coprime sensor arrays
2015 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2015Coprime sensor arrays (CSAs) achieve the resolution of a fully populated uniform linear array (ULA) with the same aperture using fewer sensors. The conventional CSA product beamformer suffers from a smaller array gain due to the reduced number of sensors.

Deconvolved Conventional Beamforming for a Coprime Array
OCEANS 2019 - Marseille, 2019Coprime Sensor Array (CSA) has received a lot of attentions recently due to "coprime" nature of the array configuration, which yields a high resolution using product processing with fewer sensors, similar to that of a uniform liner array (ULA) of a larger aperture using conventional beamforming (CBF), with more sensors. Compared with the ULA, CSA yield

Beamforming in MIMO Radar using Coprime Array
2018 2nd International Conference on Electronics, Materials Engineering & Nano-Technology (IEMENTech), 2018This paper proposes a new method of beamforming for colocated MIMO radar. The method firstly constructs the coprime arrays in MIMO radar and then exploits the minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) to maximize the power in the desired direction and minimize in other directions.
